JC Penny doubling down on being awesome. After being attacked by various “family values” bigots for using Ellen DeGeneres as a spokesperson, they give the bigots a big middle finger by portraying a gay couple in their Father’s Day ad. A big store acknowledging that, -gasp-, gay people exist, have families, and need to buy things from time to time shouldn’t be a big deal. Unfortunately, it is. Hopefully this is the first step in it becoming normal.
